Whitney Slaten has carefully studied and practiced live sound reinforcement and recording engineering for the past 15 years. He brings unique expertise to sound engineering. As a sound mixer, professional jazz musician, and ethnomusicologist, he is sensitive to the social significance of sound engineering across multiple genres. Slaten has offered live sound recording and amplification services to individual artists, musical groups, college music departments and conservatories. Jazz festivals, opera auditions, orchestral performances, basements, garages, nightclubs and gilded concert halls are among the many setting in which Whitney works.
