Andrew Shantz is a dynamic young pianist and composer from Ann Arbor, Michigan who has incorporated a wide diversity of influences into his sound. From his studies in the world-renowned jazz program at William Paterson University and performances with the gold-selling folk-rock group "Kulna Sawa" of Syria to electronic composition and sound production, he has long sought to develop an extensive style. Andrew has also studied with jazz luminaries Jason Moran and Steve Coleman as well as the legendary Clark Terry.
Foluso Mimy

Congas: Foluso Mimy

From Newark, New Jersey, Foluso from birth has been immersed in African music and culture due to his life-long exposure to the Yoruba tradition, an ancient culture from modern day Nigeria. On many occasions, Mimy has traveled to various parts of West Africa to study with master drummers on an assortment of indigenous instruments. That exposure has allowed Foluso to develop the intense rhythmic knowledge and approach that he has today. Foluso currently studies at William Paterson and performs regularly with the African drum and dance troupe "Bambara".
Phillip McKinney

Bass: Phillip McKinney

Also from Newark is the son of accomplished musicians. After graduating from the arts high school in the city of Newark, he was able to harness his talent and be hired by prominent artists in the Hip-Hop and Jazz world such as Wycliff Jean, Mary J. Blidge and Jazz legend, Herbie Hancock. In addition to his many performance opportunities around the world, Phil is currently starting a career as a producer for local Rap and R&B artists in the Newark area.
